Hi, it’s Chris Bridger again, in today’s video I want to share with you quickly 3 things you can do right now that are going to help you out on your weight loss journey and move you in the right direction. Basically, 1 of the first things when you do … Is when you’re starting a new weight loss journey is to think about maybe what’s not gone so well in the past. Whether you’ve tried and failed a few times or you just haven’t had the right information upfront, really look back and see if there’s a pattern there. If the same thing keeps happening over and over again, you might want to address why that’s happening but to really help you move forward, the first thing you probably need to do is start to think about letting go of the past. Whether you have tried and failed, whether you’ve had mixed success, or whatever has happened. Leave the past in the past, let it go, and move on, start fresh.
Second thing you can do right now is to not put a lot of pressure on yourself. Starting out lets say with the free meal plan that you’ve downloaded, if you’re watching this video you’re pretty motivated and you want to make the most of it and that’s what these videos are about over the next few days and coming weeks to sort of, educate you on how to use that. By not putting the pressure on yourself to preform straight away and learn it all straight away, give yourself time to naturally learn it and go through the process rather than setting strict time frames with a strict goal, and if you don’t achieve it, you are therefore a failure.
What I’ve found in my experience with training people om how to be healthy is as soon as you put the pressure on the person to perform, or you put a time constraint on the person to be a certain way, they generally crumble, or they find it really hard to Make positive changes … The fear of not achieving the goal is going to hold you back from actually achieving the goal. If your focus is on eating healthy, being that type of thing, you’re going to have a lot better progress through the program rather than letting it …. Force it or try to rush through things.
Tip number 3 is just to take it each day as it comes, work on 1 thing at a time, don’t feel like you’ve got to try to do everything straight up. If you try to do too many things on top of your already busy lifestyle, like you may have kids, you’re obviously going to be working, you’ve got to find a bit of time where you can absorb the lessons and not get overwhelmed because that’s going to be another thing that’s going to put the brakes on your progress …
