Turmeric is the special bright yellow spice that has been used for centuries in traditional medical practices, especially in the ancient Chinese and Indian systems. Many may know the spicy herb as an anti-inflammatory agent, while others use it for the treatment of several  other disorders.

The addition of Turmeric to chemotherapy treatment of cancers can increase the effectiveness of treatment by more than 45%.

Diabetic patients can rely on the blood sugar management capabilities of Turmeric to help fight some of the devastating symptoms of the condition. Turmeric can help reverse insulin resistance, and in 2009 , a report published at Auburn University indicates that supplementing your diet with Turmeric is capable of reversing diabetes. Another study indicated that Turmeric is more than 350% more potent than diabetes drugs such as Metformin. Turmeric works to reverse diabetes by activating more AMPK –substances that improve insulin sensitivity in humans.

A relatively low dose of Turmeric is usually recommended, though the doses may gradually increase over time as recommended by a physician.
